History and mission:
First of all we are sisters! Also we are two Moms and now we are two partners! We founded GLUP in January 2008: a practical, trendy and environmentally friendly baby accessories company.
It all started with the Glup scarf !
Each season new accessories are added to our collection. All products are made locally in Québec. Glup's goals are to innovate and to meet the needs of parents. Our accessories are practical, trend-setting and, above all, designed to make your life easier.
Since the beginning, Glup flavored its collection with one new article, the Gabtote bag. More products designed by this young company are to come soon. Just like their two founders, our products fulfill modern and active parents’ needs.
Alexandra:
Mom of Axel 6 years and Gabriel 3 years, and originally from Québec city, I moved to Montreal to study communications at Concordia University.
I worked for several years in the movie industry on film sets. I then went on to being a commercial filmmaker for television station TVA.
This is when my second child Gabriel was born and I had the idea to make this little scarf available as it became indispensable to me. With my sister Isabelle who was pregnant at the time, we founded Glup surrounded by our toddlers and supported by our respective families.
I would like Glup to continue making products that satisfy your needs as modern parents. I wake up every morning full of enthusiasm with loads of projects in head.
Isabelle:
Mom of two boys: Eliot 6 years and a half and Guillaume 2 years. Born in Chicoutimi, I was raised in Québec city. From a very young age, I wanted to work in the media industry.
Graduate in Communication from University Laval, I was hired by TV station Télé 4 in Québec city as cultural columnist for the news report and later for Salut Bonjour talk show. I was also radio host and presented 'La Vie à Québec'.
I started my comedian career by doing commercials and also acted in various pieces such as: CRAZY, Maman Last Call, Lance et Compte, C.A., Miss Météo, Les 7 jours de Talion, Piché, etc.
For the last 4 years, I have provided information about the ups and downs of maternity on the TV show Salut Bonjour. I ask questions and lead you towards answers on matters that concern you.
As a business woman, I have the same preoccupations in other spheres of my life: I give my best and most importantly, share it with as many people as possible. |
